Hello friends,

I arrived in Newport, Washington to two feet of snow and a lovely warm community of monastics and lay people. Sravasti Abbey has an amazing website so please take a look. Who knows....you may see me in a photo or on the Bodhisattva breakfast corner!

The lamrim and ngondro retreat begins on Sunday. Til then, I'm settling in, learning the ropes and overcoming jet lag.

Dear Friends,

Welcome to this new experiment with blogging. I thought it might be a fun and efficient way to keep in touch with my Australian friends. 

Next Thursday, 14th of January, I'm heading to Sravasti Abbey in Newport, Washington (pop. 2000) to start a 2 and 1/2 month lam rim and ngondro retreat. During the retreat I will not have any internet access, but will keep begin blogging in ernest when the retreat finishes at the end of March.
